Card Workshop This Friday!

This Friday I'll be hosting a card making workshop featuring the following products:
     -Typeset paper pack
     -Corrugated milepost shapes
     -Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge
     -Create a Shade Pearl paint
     -Typeset workshop stamp set
We'll be making 3 of the 5 cards pictured above! It will be a fun night of creativity!

Cards from the workshop last night!

 We had a fun workshop last night, making cards and scrapbook pages!  We used the Find Your Style stamp set, which is only available for a few more days! It's the January Stamp of the Month, and I really love it!  I promised to post the pictures of the cards, so here they are!

 The circle card above has a butterfly that looks like it just gently landed on the card! A couple of sparkles give it just a hint of bling!

 We used the stamp set from the Wings Workshop Kit to make the pink damask background for this card.  Adding a tiny pink bow to the shoe gives it a bit of dimension.

 And the third card is straight from the Inspirations catalog.  All 3 cards would be great for many different occasions, but will we be able to part with them?

November Workshop!!

Here is a picture of the card we'll be making at this Friday's workshop! I really like these little owls and think they look so cute on this card! The textured background is made using a Cuttlebug embossing folder. The little owls are colored in using CTMH markers, which is a fun technique! I just think they might be missing a little something....googlie eyes perhaps?
Who doesn't need a little pack of post-it notes? I use them all the time! This little pack is great for your purse, desk, by the phone, or even to give away!
The third project we'll be working on is to cover a 2011 pocket calendar. Each year I customize my own calendar that I keep in my purse. It's where I record everything throughout the year! As I was needing to make my own for 2011, I thought you might be needing one as well! Since we all have our own personal style, please feel free to bring your own paper, ribbon, & embellishments for this project. Two coordinating papers would work great, but even a single pattern would work. I'll supply the calendar and any needed cardstock. It will be a fun project and is also a great little gift to give away!

November Workshop Projects

Just thought I'd announce what we will be making at my upcoming workshop! We'll be making 3 cute projects:

1) A really cute card using 2 different embossing techniques. Dry embossing and heat embossing.

2) A pocket calendar, customized by you! You pick your paper & stamps and then customize the cover of your calendar. You'll be all set for 2011! Also makes a cute gift to give away.

3) A little post-it note & pencil set perfect for your purse!

I'm finishing up all the details and will post the actual projects as soon as possible. The workshop date is Friday, November 19th starting at 7 pm. Hope you can make it!

Clear Card Workshop Tomorrow!

Cheery Cherry-O Cards & Kit!!

I love these cute cards made using the new Cherry-O kit! I made these the other night in preparation for my June "Double" workshop on the 26th. My favorite is the one in front using tulip red brads as cherries in the bowl! It just makes me smile :)
Life is like....you know the rest! Here is the adorable stamp set that comes in the Cherry-O kit. You can only get this stamp set in the kit and the kit is only available until August 31st!!
The kit is such a great deal because it includes a full Level 2 Paper Packet (which is 12 sheets of patterned paper and 10 sheets of cardstock). My photo above shows some of the paper you get. In addition to the paper and the stamp set, you also get a pack of Tulip red embellishments: buttons, ribbon, brads and metal tags. I think these kits make great gifts too because everything coordinates and there is also an instruction booklet that walks you through step-by-step to complete cards and scrapbook layouts! Chocolate Cupcake Workshop!!

I'm really looking forward to this Friday when I host my "Chocolate Cupcake Workshop". I adore cupcakes and I LOVE chocolate, so when you put the two together...well, I get a little giddy!

At the workshop we'll be making a chocolate nugget tin with a little matching card, and then we'll make a regular size card. All 3 will have cute cupcake images on them. I'll also be teaching a couple of new techniques while we work! Now, what kind of snack should I make....umm...cupcakes of course!

What a hoot!

I thought I'd talk a little about this card that we'll be making this Friday night at the card workshop. This circle card has another circle cut in the middle of it. We'll be stamping the tree from the Grown With Love stamp set, along with the leaves and then placing it behind the open circle with pop dots to give it a little more dimension and the illusion that its in the background. On the front of the card is a circular piece of green paper from the Back Country paper pack. On top of that is a paper "twig" that our adorable owl will be perched on (from the You're a Hoot set). And you know I can't resist putting googlie eyes on my owls! A little hemp tied in a knot will add a finishing touch! It's a really fun card and shows how you can use images from multiple stamp sets to make great card. Hope you join us Friday so that you can make one yourself!!

Card Workshop This Friday!!

Pictured above are the 3 cards we'll be making this Friday, January 29th. Two of the cards feature the "Grown with Love" stamp set with it's adorable tree stamp! The circle card has our favorite owls making a come back from the "You're a Hoot!" stamp set. The third card uses the Veranda Creative Basics paper pack and the January Stamp of the Month entitled "True Friends". It will be quite a creative night! I'm looking forward to seeing you there!

Card Workshop Tonight!

At tonight's workshop we'll be making the 3 cards pictured above, and let me tell you, they are even more beautiful in person. This paper, from the Grace packet, has really grown on me since I first saw it. It really is gorgeous and makes great projects! Join us a 7:00 pm to see them for yourself!!!

December's "Grace"ful Card Workshop

I can't even believe that December is less than a week away! So take out your tattered pocket calendar and mark Friday, December 11th with a note about making cards! Just wanted to post a reminder along with a re-cap of my workshop details.

Each month I hold a Card Workshop where I show you how to assemble 3 cards. We'll cut, paste, stamp and more! I also like to incorporate a tip or technique so that you can learn something new to use on your own projects at home. I now have a stamp set available for you to use so that you can customize the sentiments on your cards (ie: get well; congratulations; thinking of you; etc.). The supply fee for the 3 cards is $10. You also have the option of purchasing the workshop kit (the December kit is pictured above) for $29.95 (+ tax & s/h) in which case I will waive the $10 supply fee because your supplies will be in your kit. The kits are a great deal because they include 22 sheets of 12 x 12 paper, an exclusive stamp set that is only available by ordering the kit, and a coordinating embellishment set. The kits also come with an instruction guide to help you complete additional cards or scrapbook layouts at home.

In addition, I also have a drawing for a prize at each workshop. For the December workshop I have a cute little stamp set that will be given away to drawing winner! Your name goes into the drawing once for RSVP'ing; another time for attending; and an additional time for bringing a new friend! The workshops are a lot of fun and I hope that everyone enjoys being creative and maybe learning something new in the process!

Twitterpated Card Workshop This Friday!!

Just a reminder - this Friday, 11/13 will be the Twitterpated Card Workshop at 7:00 pm. We'll be using Liquid Glass to add dimension to the cards - you'll love it! I added a second table, so I have 4 more seats if you are interested! Hope to see you Friday!

You'll Be Twitterpated!

Here is a glimpse of the cards we'll be making at the November Card Workshop! I am in love with this paper line and can't wait to do this workshop! The paper is called Twitterpated and just came out in the new Autumn/Winter Idea Book. At this workshop we'll be using the adorable Hedgehog & Toadstool (a.k.a. mushroom) stamp set that is only available in the workshop Kit. The Kit includes the Twitterpated Level 2 Paper Pack, the stamp set, and a collection of brown ribbon spools all for $29.95. Remember, if you purchase the Kit in advance it will be ready for you on workshop night and I will waive the $10 supply fee (since your supplies will be in your kit!). Ordering the kit is a great value, especially if you adore this paper line like I do, since you'll leave the workshop with 3 completed cards, a stamp set, ribbon and enough paper left in your paper pack to complete several more projects!
