September 4th Card Workshop

Don't forget about this coming Friday's Card Workshop! It's Friday, September 4th and we'll start making cards at 7:00 p.m. so arrive a few minutes early so that you can get settled and make sure that your name is entered into the prize drawing! Remember that you get your name entered an extra time for RSVP'ing and again for bringing a friend! So you can get your name entered 3 times to increase your chances of winning a prize!

All you need to bring is a pair of scissors and adhesive. All other materials will be provided. The cost of materials is $5.00 for the 2 cards that we'll be making. We'll be making a one 3 x 3 card and one 5 x 5 card. We'll also be customizing the envelope to match the larger card!
You can also purchase extra card kits from my July workshop for $2.50 each, pictured below:
Can't wait to see you Friday!

More gift bag pics

Bags & Briefcases

This is how I spent a few hours list past Friday night & Saturday afternoon - making little gift bags for some friends. At first I just picked some nice papers & fired up my Cricut with the Bags & Tags cartridge. Then my creative juices kicked in and I started to add more details as I went along. Two of them were for guys, so I made them look more like briefcases by stitching them & adding their monogrammed initials. I had a lot of fun thinking of different things to make each one unique!

Thanks for coming!

Thanks to everyone who attended my card workshop the other night. I hope you all had fun and liked the cards we created. Since this was my first workshop I appreciate your patience ;) Hopefully I will get better at teaching the projects. Thanks also to my Mom for all her help and to my Dad for babysitting the kids.

Kudos to Kelly & Sandra for making your first cards - they turned out great!! And it wouldn't have been as much fun without Teresa on the sidelines cheering us on ;) You stamped great too!

My next card workshop is set for Friday, September 4th at 7:00 pm. Let me know if there is a specific type of card you'd like to do (ie: anniversary; get well; etc.). If you are interested in doing scrapbook layouts I'll need to know in advance so that I can get the materials ready for you. I was thinking of doing a layout ready for beach/summer photos.

My Mom & I at the Scrapbook Expo in San Jose, CA last summer. Hoping to attend again this year. Anyone going in August? I think it's August 7th & 8th? Last year we did a lot of classes, but I think it was too much for my brain! I enjoy shopping the booths and would also like to try the all day crop.
