What a Mess!!

Sometimes I look at my craft room and I can't believe what a mess it is! How can I be creative in this mess? So my goal for the month of May is to get it cleaned up & cleaned out! I have too much stuff in such a small space! I recently got some of the Store In Style storage cubes, but I have yet to put anything in them! So I'm posting these photos in hope that it will motivate me to get this mess under control, so that I can then post some "after" pictures :) Here's hoping I can do it!

Simply "Irresistible"!

While putting together the Miracle scrapbook kit, I fell in love with two of CTMH's new products. One is the Flip Flaps Memory Protectors. I ordered some of these a while back, and they are still sitting on my desk! A few come in the Miracle kit, so I followed the directions and was amazed at how easy they were to use! I love that in the space of just one 4 x 6 photo, I was able to get 3 photos! (see my page above). How great! You can bet I'll be using up that package on my desk in short order!
The two 4 x 6 photos on the right hand page above are in Flip Flaps. When you lift them up, there are 4 more photos to see! That's 7 photos on the 2 page layout!
The other new product that I fell in love with are the "Irresistibles". These are die-cut chipboard shapes that are printed with a resist pattern on them. The white butterfly shape above is how it looks before. Then using a sponge and whatever color ink pad you want, you sponge on the color and watch the resist pattern really show up. It's a lot of fun and a great way to customize the chipboard according to your photos or papers!
After sponging the Irresistible butterfly brown, I added a blue Stickease butterfly to the top using pop-dots for dimension. Then I added Bitty Sparkles to bling up my butterfly!
For these accents, I sponged one Irresistible with Crystal Blue ink and the other with Chocolate, then threaded a button with waxy flax and put it all together. This kit was fun & easy to put together and I loved trying out the new products that I've never used before. Join me on May 14th for my Miracle workshop and you'll get to play around with these products too!

Adorable Scrapbooking Kit and Workshop!!

Listen up all my scrapbooking friends! Mark your calendar for Friday, May 14th for a 4 page scrapbooking workshop!! We'll make two, 2 page layouts using this great scrapbooking kit called "Miracle". I wondered why CTMH decided to name this kit Miracle, so after searching here's what I found out: 1) You get so much stuff in this kit that its a Miracle it's only priced at $19.95! 2) You can put together the 4 pages so fast that it's a Miracle! 3) You can get for $10 or even $5 if you place a qualifying order - what a Miracle!

I sat down and put this kit together myself and it is turned out great! I will take pictures and post them once I get my pictures mounted so that you can see! What I love most about this kit is my new favorite product called "Irristables". I love chipboard accents and that is what they are, with a twist. They have a shiny resist pattern on them, so you can ink them any color of the rainbow in order to match your photos or layouts, and the resist pattern shows up white. I'll have to take a picture of before and after so you understand what I'm talking about.

Anyway, it's a great deal and you'll love the finished product which will work with just about any photos. If you bring your photos, we'll pick a color out of them and then customize your accents to coordinate. It's such a versatile kit!

Friday, May 14th at 6:30 pm - be there for the fun! I need to order these kits ahead of time so that they arrive in time for the workshop, so please let me know as soon as possible if you want to attend!

Chocolate Cupcake Workshop!!

I'm really looking forward to this Friday when I host my "Chocolate Cupcake Workshop". I adore cupcakes and I LOVE chocolate, so when you put the two together...well, I get a little giddy!

At the workshop we'll be making a chocolate nugget tin with a little matching card, and then we'll make a regular size card. All 3 will have cute cupcake images on them. I'll also be teaching a couple of new techniques while we work! Now, what kind of snack should I make....umm...cupcakes of course!

Here's a sneak peak at the popular Cupcake Sprinkles stamp set that we'll be using. Hope to see you there!
